DDC Ramban inaugurates JNV at Batote

RAMBAN, Dec 11: District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today inaugurated Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Batote to provide better education opportunities to the students in remote and hilly district Ramban.
ACR, Harbans Lal, Principal of JNV, Ravinder Dankar, Chairman Block Development Council, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, Executive Engineer, PDD, Principal GHSS, Batote, DFO, Tehsildar senior officers besides prominent and common people of area were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated all the officers of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for starting classes of JNV in the district to provide quality education and hoped that Navodaya Vidyalayas will enlighten each region of the district by doing excellent work.
"JNVs provide quality and modern education to the talented children predominantly from rural areas. The education includes important components like social values, environmental awareness, collective activity and physical education", he added.
DDC said that 166.1 kanal land has been identified for the construction of JNV at village Sana in Sanasar.
Principal JNV Batote said that the quality of these schools is reflected by the fact that many students who have passed from JNVs are working successfully on the strength of their talent in all the prestigious fields like civil serves, medical and engineering services etc. He informed that 64 students including 13 girls have been enrolled for 6th and 7th class during current session.
Later, the DDC inspected the Government Higher Secondary School Batote and reviewed the facilities and functioning of institute. He also planted a sapling of Deodar in the premises of school.
