| Govt faces loss to exchequer due to non coordination deptts | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 12: In utter wastage of public money the Municipal Committee Udhampur has been carrying out lanes and drains works.
"Municipality has been constructing lanes and drains even having knowledge that these lanes will be dismantles soon by the agencies laying sewerage network in the town. This is nothing but grave negligence involving public money meant for development," retired Govt employee said.
Sources informed that sewerage network is being laid in the town and the work for that is underway at Housing Colony, Adarsh Colony, Sallian Talab etc and this work includes deep digging of lanes and roads to lay pipes of sewerage network. Anyhow the Udhampur municipality is also continuing its works of lanes and drains at Ram Kala Mandir Gali, Pandoo Mandir Gali, Sallian Talab etc. When contacted, DC Udhampur Piyush Singla said that he has asked the construction agencies to not to start work on sewerage network areas but still if some work is underway or has been started the same will be stopped to avoid wastage of government exchequers. |
