poonch, Dec 14: A National Lok Adalat under supervision of Hon'ble Supreme Court and Hon'ble High Court of J&K was organized today on 14.12.2019 in District Courts Poonch, wherein Judicial Officers, Bar Members, Bank Employees, litigants and general public participated with full enthusiasm.
Enlighting the people there, National Lok Adalat Chairman DLSA Poonch Madan Lal (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) Poonch highlighted the positive aspects of Lok Adalat and described it as the need of the hour and stressed upon general public to come forward to take benefit of the Lok Adalat.
At District Head Office, the first bench was presided by Madan Lal Chairman DLSA (Pr. Distt &Sessions Judge) Poonch while Second Bench was presided by Som Lal CJM (Chairman TLSC Poonch) and assisted by Advocate Mukhtar Ahmed Poonch while at Surankote, the bench was presided by Ashan-Ul-Haq Malik (Chairman TLSC/ Sub- Judge Surankote) assisted by Shafiq Ahmed Additional Mobile Magistrate Surankote.
A total no of 220 cases were taken up including civil, criminal, MACT, Bank Recovery, Pre-Litigation and other cases out of which181 cases were settled by way of Mediation, Conciliation and compromise. Light refreshment was also served to all the participants. |
