Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), National General Secretary P. Murlidhar Rao will address a seminar on "Citizenship Amendment Act-2019 (CAA)" at Jammu on 28th December 2019 at 11:00 a.m., this was disclosed in a meeting addressed by MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma and BJP State General Secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Meeting was also attended by BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru, State Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta and party State Press Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the meeting, stressfully said that the everybody should make it absolutely clear in their minds that the CAA Act is empowered to give Citizenship only to the religiously persecuted persons to the people who turned up before 31st December 2014 by only giving relaxation in the rules in terms of reducing period of stay from 11 years to 5 years. This Act does not give umbrella Citizenship to everybody and nor does it takes away right of Citizenship from anybody, he stressed and said that even in past few days, many Muslims from Pakistan have acquired Indian Citizenship through the legal means.
Party National General Secretary P. Murlidahar Rao, will enlighten the audience with the detailed knowledge of the subject during his address at Teachers' Bhawan so as to counter the malaise spreaded by Congress, Left parties and their allies, Sharma added. Dr. Narinder singh, in his address, disclosed that Bharatiya Janata Party, National General Secretary P. Murlidahar Rao has consented to be as Chief Guest and the Chief Speaker in a seminar to be organized on the theme of "Citizenship Amendment Act-2019". He said that the event will be organized by Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Nayas (Trust) at the Teachers' Bhawan Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar at Jammu on 28th of December 2019 in the morning starting at 11:00 a.m.
Dr. Singh, said that the National General Secretary will enlighten the audience with all the clarity about the Act and the need to bring it up at the present time. He stressed that a vicious campaign has been launched by Congress, Left parties and their allies against the Act, which is with utter malafide contention. He said that top BJP leaders are meeting the prominent members of the Civil society to make provide factual information about the Act and expose the nefarious designs of these parties.
