| DF&SS stages rally in favour of NPR | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in old Jammu city against the political parties playing politics on the NPR (National Population Register).
Ashok Gupta said that while Census was held every 10 years and NPR was started by the UPA government and the government was carrying it forward as it was a "good exercise". "NPR is register of population, NRC is register of citizens. There is no link between the two and the two have different process.
What nonsense is Arundhati Roy speaking! It's one thing to ask people to refuse to participate in the NPR, but to ask them to give out incorrect details is completely wrong. Who does she think she is. Slamming the Booker Prize winner author Gupta said that ''Ranga-Billa'' were two hardcore criminals who made headlines in the 70s because of the brutal rape-murder of a young girl and her brother. Bharti said that while speaking about the NPR, Arundhati could only remember the names of criminals such as Ranga and Billa and not great men like Ashfaqullah Khan or Ramprasad Bismil. |
