Akhnoor, Dec 26: Maharaja Harisingh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor celebrated its Prize Distribution Function on 26th December 2019 in the school campus. The participating students, parents and teachers were very excited as the school organized such a grand function after so many years. The whole function was appreciated by one and all those who were present at the venue. The programme was based on the theme “Insaan Hain Hum”.Principal of the school and staff accorded a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Gopal Singh SDM, Akhnoor, Presiding officer H R Pakhroo Joint Director School Education Jammu, Guest of Honour Rajeev Sharma Ex MLA Akhnoor, Depesh Singh Pawar, Chairman Municipal Committee Akhnoor, I.D.Soni State Commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides, Tushar Kant Sharma ( IAS Retd.), D P Khajuria, former Director Horticulture J & K. Principals of various schools, Parents, Press Media, special guests and invitees were also given rousing reception on their arrival. The function started with lightening of traditional lamp of knowledge by the Chief Guest, presiding officer and other dignitaries. Principal of the school Alok Betab presented the school report sharing the credential, laurels and development of the school. The students displayed a wide array of colorful and reverberant performances. The cultural bonanza was highly impressive and the parents were spellbound by the programme presented by the children.
