Night temperature improves in Jammu | | | Jammu, Jan 3 After breaking 40 year old record of cold conditions having minimum temperature dipped all time low, the night temperature has improved in Jammu, a weatherman here said on Friday. The MeT Section official said that the minimum temperature recorded on intervening night of Thursday-Friday was 6.2 degree Celsius, which previously was recorded between 2.5 degrees to 2.8 degrees. However, the maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 19 degrees. The weatherman said that on Saturday, sky will be generally cloudy with Maximum and Minimum temperatures around 18?C and 7 C respectively. He also predicted scattered to fairly widespread light rain/snow in Jammu and Kashmir and isolated very light snow in Ladakh region in coming days. Meanwhile it was bright sunny day on Friday in Jammu. People were seen basking in the sun while markets witnessed hustle bustle. All government and private schools are shut for winter vacations till January 8. |
