Arrangements for IPPI campaign finalized | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 16: Deputy Chief Medical Officer Rajouri, Dr. Anees Altaf Nabi along with District Immunization Officer Dr. Shakti addressed a press conference and said that Health and Family Welfare Department in Rajouri has finalized all the necessary arrangements for carrying out Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization campaign against polio virus. He added that under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh and Directorate of Health Services Jammu, health department in Rajouri have finalized all the arrangements for smooth and successful conduct of immunization campaign. Deputy CMO, also informed that 2572 officials of the department will be deployed on 643 polio booths that shall be setup across the district whereas 19 transit points have also been established where 50 staff members will remain deployed to ensure that children on the move are immunized. Officers appealed the people of Rajouri for their support and cooperation to fight against Polio and ensure that all children up to five years of age are administered polio vaccine drops. |
