Early Times Report ANANTNAG, Jan 16: In a first, the Motor Vehicle Department on Thursday introduced 'Vehicle Speed Test Analyzer' in South Kashmir's Anantnag district. The department held a mock drill on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway at Bijbehara and checked speed of over hundred vehicles including passenger and private vehicles. On behalf of Assistant Regional Transport Officer Anantnag, Inspector Raja Umar Khan was supervising the mock drill. On the occasion, MVD officials educated drivers about the demerits of rash driving and urged them to fallow traffic rules. Those drivers, who were found obeying traffic rules during the mock drill, were awarded. In the ongoing traffic week, the department had earlier organized a free medical camp and conducted road shows for generating awareness among people regarding traffic rules. |
