Jammu, Jan 21: Geetansh Thakur (XI-A) of Delhi Public School, Jammu brought laurels to the institution and his parents by winning gold medal in 16th National ITF Taekwondo Championship organized by All J&K Taekwondo Association held at Udaipur from 29-31 December, 2019. He played in Below 68 kgs category.
He also won silver medal in Black Belt Open Category in Pattern in the same event.
Earlier, Geetansh had also won Gold medal in 3rd South Asian Taekwondo Championship held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi from 31 May-1 June, 2019.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated Geetansh and his parents for the achievement. She also lauded his Coach, Suresh Kumar.
President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi extended their best wishes to Geetansh and his parents.
