DB disposes of PIL regarding functioning of tuition centers

JAMMU, Feb12: A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed with the benign hope of regulating the working and functioning of the tuition centers operating in Jammu and Kashmir. It is stated that the owners of these Tuition Centres/ Coaching Centres are not complying with the Jammu and Kashmir Regulation of Private Tuition Centres Rules of 2010 notified by the Government vide Government Order No. 435-Edu of 2010 dated 30th of April, 2010.
A Division Bench of J&K High Court Comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Senior Additional Advocate General, appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that the Government is taking all the efforts to redress the grievance projected in the instant Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in keeping with the directions issued by this Court from time to time and the report of the Judges Committee constituted for the purpose, dispose of PIL by directing all the concerned authorities in the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to take all necessary steps/ efforts in order to ensure that the grievance, as agitated herein this petition, is redressed at the earliest in accordance with the series of directions passed by this Court from time to time as also having regard to the report of the Judges Committee. -JNF
