JAMMU, Feb 12: Khalid Jahangir today assumed the charge of Chairman, J&K, Services Selection Board.
Immediately after assuming the charge, the Chairman took an introductory meeting with the members, officers and staff of J&K, Services Selection Board.
Musheer Mirza, Controller of Examination, Harvinder Kour, Member, Pritam Lal Atri, Member, Ranjeet Singh, Secretary, Jung Bhadur, Special Secretary (Legal), SLO, Under Secretaries and other staff members of the Board attended the meeting.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on various issues related to working of the Board, selection process, examination process and legal issues related to selection.
The Chairman called upon the officers to work with untiring zeal for expediting the under process recruitment of vacancies of various categories. He also directed Special Secretary (Legal) and SLO to pursue the court cases proactively and promptly so that no delay occurs in selection process. The Chairman took a round of office and inspected various sections/ branches.
He was apprised that there is acute shortage of space due to which smooth and effective functioning of Board get adversely affected and Board is having land at Jammu and Srinagar. He directed Secretary, JKSSB to prepare the DPR’s for the construction of JKSSB building at Jammu and Srinagar. |
