RAMBAN, Feb 12: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ramban, Nawab Din today handed over a tractor provided by the agriculture department to a marginal farmer under UT CAPEX budget to ensure double the income of farmers of district Ramban.
Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), MG, Singh, beneficiary Jan Nisar Ahmad of Banihal and various officers of different departments were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC Ramban informed that the Agriculture department distributed agriculture machinery to the farmers of the district on subsidy of 50% to the marginal farmers to save their time besides enhancing agriculture production against low cost of labour.
He further stated that 23 numbers of power tillers have been distributed among the beneficiaries till date in addition to chaff cutters and polygreen houses under different centrally sponsored schemes and UT CAPEX budget. |
