Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 18: District Administration Rajouri has allegedly allotted number of developmental works in the district without tendering. To avoid any trouble, the admin issued works without e-tendering by decreasing amount just below Rs 3 lakh.
Sources in the department told Early Times that the works are issued from the office of Chief Planning Officer of district administration without e-tendering. It has been observed that many works showed done twice despite being done once and some of the work amount was Rs 2.95 lakhs.
They alleged that most of the works were allotted for villages including road connectivity, lane drains etc. “The officers sitting at place are alleged to be main culprit of this mal-practice. The requests of genuine issues remain unattended while the works of influential persons are done within no time in lieu of commission,” they alleged.
Local demanded transfer of such people who are derailing developmental works and providing benefits to some people. They demanded inquiry of Crime Branch on such works allotted by administration.
