Progress of writing Jamabandis reviewed in Samba

SAMBA, Feb 18: Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, today chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review progress of writing/Updation of Jamabandis in the district as part of the digitization of land record. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kulbhushan Khajuria, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal Ramkesh Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur C P Kotwal besides tehsidlars, Naib Tehsildars, and other field revenue staff were also present on the occasion.
It was informed that against 382 villages in the district, writing of Jamabandis has been completed in 162 villages and the task is on in 40 others, while the task is yet to be started in 180 villages. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned revenue officers to expedite the updation of Jamabandis and submit daily progress.
He set Feb 28, 2020 as deadline for completion of ongoing exercise and March 31 for finishing the task in all villages of the district.
It was further informed in the meeting that 92% revenue records have been scanned and 75% have been quality checked.
