YLAJ seeks amendment of JK Special Recruitment Rules | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: Young Leaders Association Jammu and Kashmir has sought amendment of the Jammu & Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules 2015. A meeting was called by the President of Young Leaders Association Jammu and Kashmir Maheshwar Vishwakarma to draw the attention of the Government towards one of the important issue related to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir that is the notification SRO 202 dated 30th June, 2015 issued by General Administration Department, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, notifying Jammu & Kashmir Special Recruitment Rules 2015. These Rules prescribe that a person appointed shall be on probation of 5 years and during these 5 years the appointee shall be entitled to only the basis pay and not entitled to any of the allowances. The standard recruitment rules only provide for 2 years of probation and thus this provision in SRO 202 is discriminatory. Denial of due increment will also have detrimental effect on the service and pension of the appointee and will lead to pay anomaly in future. Maheshwar also mentioned that the youth as well as employees both are protesting against that from a quite long time but no keen attention has been given to their genuine demand. But we hope that what our Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah has promised to people of J&K from the floor of Parliament would be delivered to them as earlier as possible which also include the reconsideration of SRO 202. |
