KPs need social, political rejuvenation: Panun Kashmir
3/2/2020 9:30:08 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 2: Panun Kashmir held a meeting of its Executive Council today here at Jammu. The meeting was presided over by the President, PK, Varinder Raina.
Virender Raina said that after abrogation of article 370 and 35A it is important to take a stock of the situation. The stone pelting incidents have come down and the terrorist actions have also declined. Time will decide whether it is a reality or it is lull before the storm. The coming summer will definitely give an inkling to which direction the insurgency from Pakistan will move forward. Let us hope that the clouds of terrorism will soon dispel and become the history of past. Kashmiri Pandits need social and political rejuvenation to aspire for what they have been struggling for all these three decades. There is absolutely no need of complacency on this account. We reiterate our demand for establishment of a ‘Special Crines Tribunal’ to go into the excesses committed against the Pandits in Kashmir for the last four decades.
Upinder Kaul, General Secretary said that Panun Kashmir appreciates the recent statement of Farooq Khan, Advisor to the Lt. Governor that Kashmir was a pure Hindu state only some hundreds of years ago. If the archives, literature, museums and documents and books are any indication, it suggests the same theory.
