Jammu, Mar 2: In a sudden change in ongoing ban on high speed internet services in Jammu Kashmir, 4g high speed internet services were reportedly resumed on Jio without restrictions in Jammu. Many users have claimed to have used the mobile internet at 4G speed despite ban without any restrictions for an estimated period of 3 hours the intervening night. A screenshot taken by this author has been attached where in internet connection could be seen as 4G+, download speed recorded was 30.6 Mbps(High Speed), and upload speed of 10.4 Mbps. Internet services however stopped after a few hours. Whatsapp was also working on JIO without using exploits of VPN for the time in question. 4G services only worked on Jio network. The authorities have not released any statements regarding such developments concerning 4G resumption in Jammu Kashmir. Many users on social media had uploaded screenshots of working 4G connection post midnight. The screenshot attached to this item substantiates this publication’s claim. Considering that this development happened during mid night, no mobile company has come out with a statement yet, nor has the administration made any remark regarding this. The joy of users however saw an early end as the company snapped the high speed internet by early morning. Internet service was shut down following the August 5 decision last year when government announced to repeal Article 370 . |
