Writers' Forum Jammu organizes Multilingual Mushaira

JAMMU, Mar 2: Writers' Forum, Jammu conducted a Multilingual Mushaira today .Dr. B B Sharma, President JK Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti was the chief guest whereas Prof. Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha, Jammu presided over the programme. S. Pritpal Singh Betab, Patron Writers' Forum Sudhir Mahajan, President of the Forum shared the dais. Intellectuals, writers and poets attended the programme.
For the first time, it was decided that a few poets would recite their numerous poems so that their all round poetry be heard. In the programme, the poets recited their creations on various themes of social, political and day to day life situations. The poets who recited their poetry in Urdu, Punjabi, Pahari, Dogri and Hindi included Sham Sajan, Sudhir Mahajan, Joginder Singh Paandhi, Suhail Sadiqui, Balwinder Singh Deep, Vijaya Thakur, Swami Anternirav, Pritpal Singh Betab and Prof. Lalit Magotra. Speaking on this occasion Prof. Lalit Magotra, in his presidential, appreciated the poetry recited in the Mushaira. He opined that alternatives should be tried to accommodate other poets also.
Dr. B B Sharma also expressed his views and praised the efforts of Writers Forum, Jammu.
