Jammu, Mar 8; In view of suspected Coronavirus threat, Jammu and Kashmir NABARD on Sunday postponed its five-day “Gramya” exhibition which was scheduled to start from March 12. The exhibition has now been rescheduled for April. “The “GRAMYA” Kala Shilp Mela scheduled to be held from March 12 to 16 has been postponed as precautionary measure to check the spread of COVID-19 virus (Corona Virus),” DGM NABARD Anamika said here. She announced that the mela is now scheduled to be held from April 24 to 28 and the press conference which was scheduled for March 11, has also been postponed. Over 100 artisans from across the country were expected to take part in the exhibition, which was planned to enable artisans not only to market their products but also to benefit from the market feedback they get at the exhibition so as to ensure better value realisation of their products. |
