Body of Bandipora youth fished out on second day from Wullar Lake

BADIPORA, Mar 8: The body of a youth who drowned in this north Kashmir district was fished out from a dam in wullar-lake on Sunday morning. According to sources that body of the youth identified as Waseem Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Khaliq (24), a resident of Laharwalpora, was fished out from a dam at wullar-lake at around 10: 30AM today morning.
However a senior police official has also confirmed that the body was traced and fished out from tremendous efforts.
Police and other concerned officials were present on the spot and after hectic efforts the body was fished out today morning.
After legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for last rites,” the official told early times.
However sources alleged that, the authorities have not yet roped the locals from extraction of sand, due to which locals feel safe and secured as authorities are in deep slumber. It is pertinent to mention here that on Saturday morning, two local boys had drowned in Wullar Lake in Bandipora district among which one boy namely Bilal Ahmad was saved by locals while as another was missing.
