DC Kathua inspects help-cum-screening camp at Lakhanpur

KATHUA, Mar 8: Deputy Commissioner, O P Bhagat inspected the arrangements put in place at Lakhanpur to tackle the threat posed by Corona virus, here today.
DC was accompanied by ADC, Atul Gupta; CMO, Dr. Ashok Chaudhary; District Nodal Officer for School Health Schemes, Dr. Sandeep Raina; CPO, Uttam Singh and other concerned officials.
The DC was informed that travelers arriving at Lakhanpur are being screened and checked for fever, cough and cold before allowing them to proceed to their respective destinations, besides putting in place all other preventive measures.
The screening process is intensified at the entry point and enhanced surveillance is being carried out in form of registration of phone numbers, signatures and residential addresses. The travelers are also asked about their travel history and symptoms, if any.
The screening is being carried out with the help of Kathua Police and Doctors and Para Medic staff will render their service 24X7 at the help-cum-screening camp at Lakhanpur.
The DC was informed and further told that temperature of travelers is being monitored through hand held laser thermometers. He was further informed that isolation ward as well as quarantine ward has also been set up to meet any kind of medical exigency.
