Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 8: Calling upon the authorities to stop undue harassment of teachers, the Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) said that if things are not corrected at the earliest then the teaching community will adopt agitational path.
This was stated by senior vice chairman Bhupinder Singh while addressing the monthly meeting of JKReTTF held here today. The meeting was attended by large number of Teachers from all eleven Zones of District Udhampur. Chairing the meeting, Bhupinder Singh said that harassment being meted out to teaching community in general and particularly to Grade II and grade III teachers is day by day becoming unbearable.
While speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice Chairman of the Forum Bhupinder Singh said that Education department is again trying to harass the Grade II and Grade III Teachers on the name of IMPACT training. Even Education department already started the process of B Ed as well as D Ed for these graduate and undergraduate teachers than why IMPACT training for grade II and grade III teachers only? All this is undue harassment to particular section of teaching community and even it is also important to mention here that Grade II and Grade III teachers are working in education department for last seventeen years, Singh said.
Singh appealed Director School Education Jammu and Director School Education Kashmir to regularize the services of all left out ReTs and convert them to Grade II and Grade III teachers within days and also release the pending salary arrears of Grade II and Grade III teachers.
