CWA Jammu expresses concern over shortage of masks, sanitizers in market | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 8: Consumer Welfare Association Jammu expressed its concern about shortage of masks and sanitizers in the market in the wake of Coronovirus pandemic. The members of CWA, Jammu said that Coronavirus which is creating havoc in China, Italy, Iran and many others countries where a large number of Indians as also many visitors from the affected countries have come to India. Recently some people affected by this virus have been tested +ve in Jammu and Leh. CWA during visits to various medical stores and general stores came to know that masks and hand sanitisers have disappeared from the market. Wherever available these items are being sold at exorbitant rates. The matter was as such brought to the notice of senior officers of State Food and Drugs Safety Department where after Controller of the Deptt have promptly issued a stern warning to dealers of drugs against any hoarding. The drug dealers who have been selling masks at exorbitant rates state that they are themselves buying these masks at a rate much higher than MRP. |
