Citizen’s Forum appeals JK Bank to donate Rs. 200 Crores to govt hospitals

Jammu, Mar 25: Citizen’s Forum has requested Lt. Governor GC Murmu to ask Chairman J&K Bank to donate 200 crores for J&K UT under CSR for GMC ‘s and their attached hospitals for recurring medical expenses to meet the Corona virus threat.
“Our GMC’s and Hospitals are already poorly equipped for regular medical necessities of daily requirements of medicines and equipment’s. To face new disease of Covid-19, requirement of lot of infrastructure, Testing Labs and medicines to meet the rapid spread of it the donation is very important. Other Banks are giving such donations”, President RK Chadda said.
Chadha Further said South Korea having population of five crores people has built 600 corona virus testing labs in just one month in January itself, whereas we having a population of 135 crores in our country could establish only 160 testing Labs. J&K UT needs minimum of 200 labs .
Chadha further said that appeal of A K Dullu the Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical to retired doctors to give 3-4 hours of their time to attend OPD in the Hospitals, He doubted under the new announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for lock down of the country any one will venture the appeal.
