Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 25: J&K police challaned a man near Bakshi Nagar area today when he had come out of his house to collect some clinical tests of his ailing son from SMGS Hospital and some medicines too despite showing the authentic medical prescription to them.
K L Wattal a resident of Bakshi Nagar went out of his house on his scooty to purchase some medicines from the nearby medical store and had also to collect CT Scan report of his son who was suffering from some ailments. When he reached on the main road he was stopped by the policemen at duty and asked the reason of his coming out from his house during the lockdown.
Despite his repeated pleas and showing out the doctor’s valid prescription he was challaned on the spot for violations. It is pertinent to mention that in these testing times when each and every individual is supposed to maintain social distancing positively to prevent ourselves from the clutches of deadly COVID-19, some important services have also been exempted from the lockdown including medical facilities but J&K Police should take cognizance of people’s such needs and not to forget their duty while maintaining restrictions.
