Mahila Cong provides food, ration to needy family

Jammu, Mar 28: To provide food to the needy and destitute in the prevailing crises, Mahila Congress has constituted various teams to reach-out to the poor people who are in the need of food due to on-going lockdown across J&K.
Former MLA and Pradesh Mahila Congress president Indu Pawar said that teams have been constituted at various levels to identify the people who are in the dire need of ration and food. She said that Mahila Congress activists have already identified such needy persons in many areas. “Already food and ration has been provided to many needy families and this process would be further accelerated within couple of days”, Mrs Pawar said and expressed her anguish over condition of some of the families who are the verge of starvation.
She said that Mahila Congress activists have decided that all problems of the all needy persons would be solved on the priority and all activists are working in their respective areas.
Mahila Congress said that during the last two-days food packets have been distributed among some families within municipal limits while as ration has been distributed among needy people in the outskirts of the city by the party activists.
Mrs Pawar further sought to draw attention of the authorities towards take some steps, on war footing, to ensure that all needy persons would get food and other things during lockdown. She further asked the administration to ensure that people would get grocery and other items at the prices fixed by the administration because some people are shamelessly trying to take undue benefits of the prevailing chaos.
