SPO died, other injured in Kishtwar accident | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Mar 29: In a tragic accident on Kishtwar-Doda stretch of National Highway, Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police died while another person was injured after a Maruti car bearing no JK02J-1789 in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Fougmarh some 15 kms away from the district headquarters. As per the details available with Early Times, the ill fated vehicle was on its way to Kishtwar from Drabshalla when it meet with an accident resulted into dead of SPO Mushtaq Ahmed Koka son of Din Mohammad while another person Sajjad Hussain son of Irshad Hussain Lone both resident of Tatani Saroor area of Drabshalla tehsil in Kishtwar got injured. After receiving information about the accident, police party from police station Kishtwar, Medical team rushed to the spot and shifted both the injured to District Hospital Kishtwar where a policeman Mushtaq Ahmed was declared as brought dead. Meanwhile Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister J&K, G. M Saroori expressed deep shock and grief on the death of SPO Mushtaq Ahmed in today’s tragic accident. Saroori has conveyed his heart felt condolence to the braved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss. The Former Minister urged the Lieutenant Governor and Director General of J&K Police to provide adequate ex-gratia relief of Rs. 10 lakhs in favour of the deceased SPO family members. |
