Bring back stuck-up students of J&K from across the country: Manjit Singh | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Mar 29: Former Minister and J&K Apni Party, senior leader Manjit Singh appealed Government to facilitate return of students of Jammu and Kashmir who have stuck in other States across the country during the lockdown. “Students from Jammu and Kashmir pursue their studies in different educational institutions across the country. Many have returned, but a large numbers of them are still struck in the lockdown in different areas,” said former minister Manjit Singh. The senior Apni Party leader demanded intervention of Lt Governor Girish Chander Mumru so that the stuck up students can be brought back to the Union Territory. “Parents are worried about their children and hence, the Government should facilitate their transportation back to Jammu and Kashmir,” he demanded. Concerning issues of Samba residents, he said that the civil administration has given permission to open medical shops only for three hours in the district. “These medical/chemist shops should be permitted to open throughout the day so that the needy and ailing people can get their medicines timely,” he demanded. He said that in district like Samba, most of the people are farmers and they have kept cattles. The veterinary hospital is closed, and it should be made operational so that the cattles can be provided needed care. “The pesticide shops and other agriculture produce related shops should also be permitted to open in Samba district so that farmers can get the medicines for their crops,” he demanded. |
