Govt re-engaging retired doctors, forgets regularization of NHM employees | | | RAJESH TANDON Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 3: In order to fight Corona virus pandemic, government has been re-engaging retired doctors but at the same times thousands of National Health Mission has been waiting their regularization since years. Alleging discrimination with NHM employees, who have been selflessly working hard to streamline health sector but the attitude of the government has always remain anti employees, which can be seen from the fact that over 10,000 NHM employees have not been regularized till date. “Most of the employees have been discharging their duties without PPE kits to fight COVID-19 by putting their lives at risk and without security of the life. Even after completing their regularization period, nothing has been done to ensure their regularization, which is total injustice with us,” alleged NHM employees. They further said that a committee was constituted by the previous government to resolve the issue but instead of working towards resolution of demands, the said committee played a very negative role through dilly dallying tactics and did nothing.
