Leh, Apr 18: Lt Guv R K Mathur on Saturday flagged off mobile medical units in order to cater to the needs of the patients at their door steps in view of lockdown to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in Union Territory of Ladakh. An official said that Mr Mathur flagged off the Mobile Medical Units, which comprises of specialists from SNM Hospital Leh. “The teams will cater to the medical needs of the patients at their door steps in the region in view of the lockdown,” he said. He said SNM Medical Specialists would visit all villages in Leh, treat patients, who couldn’t come for treatment during lockdown. As many as 14 COVID-19 patients have been successfully treated in Ladakh, where there are only four Active Positive cases, including three from Leh and one from Kargil. Ladakh Spokesperson, Commissioner Secretary, Rigzin Samphel few days back said that due to extension of lockdown, the students stranded in different parts of the country can’t be brought back. |
