| Lockdown relaxed in Banihal to let people purchase essential items | | |  MALIK MUDDASSIR

BANIHAL, Apr 18: The local administration in Banihal Sub Division of Ramban District today relaxed the lockdown restrictions for three hours from 9 am to allow the people to purchase essential commodities.
Earlier similar relaxation was given on April 4. As per the details available with Early Times, with no Corona Virus case reported from any part of Ramban and closure of the main entry point to stop the influx of the people into district since last over two weeks, the administration reached on the decision to ease out the situation in Banihal area to felicitate the purchase of essential commodities as well as medicines.
During the three hour relaxation utmost care was taken to maintain the social distancing outside the shops.
Meanwhile, during relaxation period a large number of people were witnessed in the markets to buy essential food items and other commodities.
According to SHO Banihal, Abid Bukhari, shops remained open in Banihal from 9 am to 12 noon on the instructions issued by the district administration and people bought essential items during this period adding that people during this period also cooperated with the police by assisting in maintaining social distance. |
