Dwarika Nath Shastriji’s ‘Nirvana Diwas’: Devotees urged to donate ration to need people | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, April 25: As lockdown continues in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir like other parts of the country in view of novel Coronavirus outbreak, the holy Samadhi Sathal Sewa Trust Sohanjana has decided to observe the “Nirwan Diwas” of His Holiness Shri Dwarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj tomorrow as a low-key affair and urged upon one and all, especially the devotees, to extend wholehearted support to the poor and needy on this auspicious occasion. It’s important to mention here that Shri Dwarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj along with his wife Mahasati Shri Champa Mata Ji entered into holy Agni Samadhi early morning on 26th April, 1992 and since then special prayers and spiritual congregations are organized on this day at the holy Samadhi Sathal in Sohanjana. On this occasion, referring to one of the last sermons of Maharaj Shri “Hame Chahney Waley Hame Eint Pathron Ki Bani Hui Imarton Me Na Dekhtey Huey Kisi Daridr Narayan, Ped-Podon, Brikhsh Lataon Ke Roop Me Dekhein” (those who love us, they shouldn’t see us in the buildings made of bricks and stones but in the poor and needy, plants, trees etc), Swami Shri Gangadhar Ji Maharaj appealed to the people in general and devotees of Maharaj Shri in particular to take pledge on this day for helping the poor and needy living in their respective areas, which would be a real tribute to mark this occasion as lockdown in view of Coronavirus outbreak continues, resulting in great despair and hardships among the poor masses. He also informed that in view of the lockdown, special langer is being provided to the poor and needy at the holy Samadhi Sathal every day, adding, free ration bags containing rice, flour, sugar, salt and other important items would be distributed among the needy people on this auspicious occasion. Besides, Swami Ji disclosed that on this occasion the holy Samadhi Sathal is also going to organize special langer for the poor and needy at the Goushala in Dyalachack on Jammu-Kathua road tomorrow on 26th April, 2020. He also urged upon one and all to not to waste food and other eatables but save that for its judicious use further for the welfare of mankind. Swami Ji also appealed to the people and devotees as well to follow the lockdown restrictions like social distancing, wearing masks, frequent cleaning of hands etc to protect themselves from this epidemic.
