Mir writes to LG, raises public concerns, made several suggestions | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir today shot a letter to Lt Governor G C Murmu, raising many important measures to be taken up in wake of depressing situation confronting people after the outbreak out of Covid-19. According to sources, Mir raised his concern with regard to many issues of public importance, besides seeking restoration of 4G net, bringing back stranded labourers, students form different states and abroad. JKPCC President Mir in his letter to LG raised various concerns, suggesting many important measures in order to face the current imbroglio that has struck the society in shape of the Covid-19. There were many important measures required to be taken up in the interest people of Jammu and Kashmir, Mir wrote to LG. He urged the LG that the testing of suspects need to be intensified to ensure that the virus doesn’t travel to other places in J&K, besides ensuring that the doctors and para-medical staff be provided with every required facility. “They need to be fully equipped to treat Covid-19 patients fearlessly,” said Mir. Mir also raised his serious concern with regard to internet in J&K and urged the LG to take up the issue with the MHA and ensure restoration of 4G internet, mentioning that the security agencies have not even opposed internet even during the peak years of militancy. PCC president urged that the UT administration should adopt a uniform policy with regard to movement of people in J&K, there should not be any pick and choose policy. Mir wrote in his letter. Mir also raised his concern with regard to distribution of free ration among the poor and needy people, urging the LG that there has to be a proper supervision, so that the free ration reaches directly to deserving families. PCC president in his letter hailed LG, entire UT administration, doctors, civil and police administration for their fight against the fatal virus, besides ensuring every facility and safety to people of Jammu and Kashmir. |
