| Son of soil Malwinder Singh helping mankind to overcome Corona crisis in USA | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: Malwinder Singh is a proud graduate of GMC Jammu where he received his medical education laying the foundation for his career abroad. Born in a middle-class family, inspired by his father Dr. Mohinder Singh,who is well known pediatrician and distinguished administrator, to pursue medicine early on.
After a brief service in Batote following completion of his MBBS, he migrated to USA in 1991. Since coming to US he completed his residency in internal medicine from New York medical College (1993 -96) and then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to finish fellowship (specialization) in pulmonary and critical care (1996 -1999). He is a Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical care medicine.
Over the course of the last 20 years he have been practicing Pulmonary/ Critical care medicine as a solo practitioner in northern part of New Jersey. Along with the practice of medicine he have had vested interest in healthcare management and completed Board certification in Health care Management (2012) . He is a proud Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Recently he also completed Masters in Healthcare Administrations (MHA) from a private university in New Jersey namely Seton Hall University.
He has been married for nearly 30 years to a beautiful caring, smart, family oriented wife Mandeep Kaur and blessed with three kids (adults now) who have excelled in their respective career. His eldest son Tarundeep Singh is a medical doctor pursuing residency in vascular surgery from a world renowned Houston Methodist center in Houston,Texas. His charming talented daughter Harveen Kaur, has Masters in Public Health (MPH) currently working in Hackensack University hospital, New Jersey coordinating the research on Remdesivir for the treatment of COVID-19. His youngest son Kanwardeep Singh is finishing his undergraduate studies from Case western university aspiring to be a physician keeping up the family tradition.
As it is well known that New York and New Jersey are the hardest hit areas with the current COVID-19 pandemic he is proud to be part of critical care team dealing with patients at one of our community Hospital. They have had their share of success and losses while dealing with this unrelenting viral illness which has affected everyone across the Globe.
