No stamp papers, no loan in lockdown: Citizens’ Forum | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 5: Citizens’ Forum said that RBI has issued guidelines to provide 20% extra loan on existing Term Loan and working capital to tide over the no business during lock down period which in all probability will be extended for a longer period than expected as the daily corona virus cases are increasing at the rate of 7000 to 9000 per day in the country. The Banks in Jammu are demanding requisite Stamp Papers before the sanction of loans, as per the stamp duty fixed by the government. President R K Chadha said that sale of stamp papers is closed because of the lockdown, and therefore no loan to the needy small businesses and MSME. It is told that it might be available after 30th June 2020 that too depending upon the will of the government. But the stamp papers are available in black with high rates as per the value of denomination of the paper by the vendors in a secret ways. Chadha requested LG, G C Murmu to ensure sale of stamp papers at particular specified places to help the people and save them from harassments. |
