JAMMU, June 20: To celebrate the “World Music Day” as well as “ 6th International Yoga Day” and to promote the traditional Duggar culture of J&K, the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented Saturday Musical Concert, “Rangila Duggar” here today at open air theatre Durga Bhawan, Janipur. The items specially prepared on the theme of Women status, National Integration and World peace were presented. The programme was inaugurated by chief guest V K Magotra, Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India and guests of honour Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government, R P Amla, Event Director. The folk songs and skits specially produced on the theme were presented and music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such programmes based on cultural heritage. Earlier in the beginning a pledge to make Yoga an integral part of our daily life was also taken by the BLSKS artistes and associates. |
