Abducted person recovered, two arrested

Jammu, July 4: Channi Police have recovered an abducted man from Reasi and also arrested two kidnappers.
According to sources, acting on a complaint received from Iqbal H Bhat resident of o Karyani Talab, Narwal, Jammu that one Showkat Ali son of Mohd. Sikander resident of Changa Bhalessa, Doda presently residing at Channi has been kidnapped by some unknown persons for ransom. Channi Himmat Police recovered the victim namely Showkat Ali, age 39 years along with his Alto car bearing registration no. JK06/7755.
In this connection two accused persons were arrested namely Nayeem Ahmed and Nawaz Ahmed both residents of Village Judda, Tehsil Arnas, District Reasi within 24 hours in case FIR No. 78/2020 U/s 364A IPC of PS Channi Himmat. Based on the testimony of complainant and technical clues, special team led by Incharge Police Post Chatta, ASI Yougal Kishore recovered the victim from District Reasi after hectic efforts. The case has been solved under the supervision of Inspector Karan Chalotra, SHO Police Station Channi Himmat, DySP Bikram Kumar, SDPO City (East).
