AAP demands creation of posts for unemployed dental surgeons | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 7: J&K unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded creation of posts for unemployed dental surgeons in the Union Territory of J&K. In a statement issued here today, AAP leader and social activist Gurmeet Singh said that the long pending demand of dental surgeons for the creation of posts is getting ignored since last 12 years. J&K government had almost neglected dentistry as a profession. Singh said that no post for dental surgeons had been created or advertised from past 12 years. Almost more than four thousand dental surgeons are moving from pillar to post in search of job, most of dental surgeons have crossed the upper age limit. He said that the role of dental surgeons in promoting the welfare of society cannot be neglected as evident during Covid-19 crisis. Rural areas are deprived of proper health care delivery including the most serious dental health care. People residing in rural areas are forced to move to urban/city located hospitals to avail Dental health care service. Appointment of dental surgeons in such areas would be revolutionary move by the Government, said Dr Satpal Singh MDS We urge Lt. Governor GC Murmu to look into the matter and adjust all dental surgeons under NHRM, Ayush Bharat and other Govt schemes/policies, said Mehar Singh and Raj Kumar Nischal. |
