SAD J&K appeals Sikhs to support Dhindsa’s fight against Badals | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 9: Appealing the Sikh community to support Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) J&K and several other Sikh Organizations said that Dhindsa is fighting a crusade against nepotism of Prakash Singh Badal and his family. While interacting with media, president Shiromani Akali Dal J&K, Darbinder Singh said that Shiromani Akali Dal is a very old party which played an important role in the independence of India, and held a strong agitation for freeing Gurudwaras from corrupt practices but unfortunately with due course of time the party which had such a glorious history and sacrifices was captured by Parkash Singh Badal, his son Sukhbir Singh Badal and his family. Badal used the party for his personal gains and made huge fortunes from party by acquiring power for many decades. He hollowed the party by appointing his family members, relatives to high posts within party and in the respective governments. Adding to this he held that old and veteran Akali Dal leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa has taken over the party as president after which he expelled Sukhbir Singh Badal from party and he appealed to Sikh Sangat all over the world to boycott Badal family and should support Dhindsa in his cause as he his fighting the nepotism practiced by Badal family within the party. Dhindsa was further appealed by Darbinder Singh that in upcoming SGPC elections religious and virtuous people should contest elections so that interference of Badal family in religious body can be curtailed and it can function independently so that the corrupt management should be set aside and honest and clean imaged persons can work over the prestigious post. Shiromani Akali Dal J&K while lending full support to Dhindsa's Akali Dal appealed to all Sikh Sangat the world over including Sikh student federations, Sikh Naujwan Sabha, Istri Akali Dal and other sub organizations to support Dhindsa in his fight against people who tarnished the image of Sikhs all over the world. |
