Manohar demands spl recruitment, reservation for Kandi, IB youths | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 11: Up in arms against the central government for price rise in essential commodities and fuel products, the Congress staged a peaceful protest at Dinga Amb, a village in Kandi belt of the district. Led by former minister and President District Congress Committee Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, the Congress workers expressed their resentment over inflating prices of essential commodities especially petroleum products. While speaking on the occasion, Dr Sharma said that presently people of country are facing worst times due to anti-people policies of the BJP regime. He said today everybody from farmer, transporter and small business man is facing heat due to wrong policies of present government. Also commenting on rising prices of petrol and diesel, he said it is shameful that when prices of crude oil per barrel in international markets are at all-time low the fuel prices in India are rising Manohar pitched for special job recruitment and job reservation for the youth residing in Kandi belt and along International Border as the people have to face lit of problems due to continuous cross border firing and also due to shortage of water in Kandi belt they can’t do farming. He said that people are still waiting for starting of prestigious Dayalachak-Challan road four lane project and lambasted BJP government for the delay in starting the project. Former MLC Subash Gupta, Davinder Singh Bindu and several others were present on the occasion.
