Udhampur, July 11: Govt. Degree College Udhampur today organized Inter-college quiz competition on World Population Day 2020.
The quiz was organized under the aegis of Principal of the College Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma. The quiz was open to students of all colleges of UT of J&K, and over one hundred students from different colleges participated in the competition. The quiz was conducted to make the students aware about the Global problem of population explosion, and its various consequences on human civilization.
In the quiz the first position was secured by Sumit Sharma from GDC (Boys) Udhampur, Shuvam Mankotia from GDC Billawar and Mohit Rukwal from GDC Bhaderwah. Second Position was secured by Mohsin Ahmed Khan, Deepeshwar Kotwal and Rashid Hussain from GDC (Boys) Udhampur and Bharti Bhardwaj from Shivalik College of Education Udhampur, whereas third position was secured by Nandan Kant from GDC Poonch, Jagpreet Singh Katoch, Remu Sharma, Navjot Balwal, Gouri Gupta, Yogesh Chand, Shepali Devi, Sahil Khaker, Sanjay Singh Shan, Manoj Kumar, Atahar Mahmood and Anuj Kumar from GDC (Boys) Udhampur, Madan Harijan from Vikram Deb (autonomous) College Jeypore, Koraput, Odisha, and Anamika Dogra from Central University Of Jammu. The quiz was conducted under the guidance of worthy principal of the College Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma. The organizing committee consisted of Prof. Prof. B.L Thakur, Samosh Kumar, Prof. Shonima and Prof. Pardeep, while online management of the quiz was coordinated by Prof. Shaji Khan and Prof. Rakesh Kumar. |
