DAHWA generates awareness on COVID-19, distributes free masks among rural people | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10: Destitute And Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA) has launched a vigorous campaign in rural areas to educate people on the maintenance of preventive protocols against COVID-19, with special focus on social distancing and health and hygiene. The campaign encompasses awareness among the rural masses regarding the symptoms and preventive measures of this fatal pandemic through proper guidance and necessary support. A DAHWA team, headed by its Chairperson, S S Sumbria, helped people in getting free food grains at various ration sale outlets in far off parts of Khoon and Majalta bocks of Udhampur district. The free ration is being provided by the government to the targeted segments in a transparent and hassle free manner. “It is the endeavor of DAHWA to create awareness and positivity among residents to fight this invisible war against the pandemic”, Mr Sumbria said. DAHWA is in continuos contact with the local adminstration to supplement the efforts in checking unfair trade practices by the ration dealers or shopkeepers. Meanwhile, DAHWA Chairperson Sumbria, while educating people regarding Corona virus, said that precaution is the only key to checj rapid transmission of Covid-19 and motivated the people to strictly follow all the preventive protocols. DAHWA distributed safety masks among the rural masses in various villages of Khoon block and other areas and created awareness among them about the need and importance of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. The masks have been provided by Territory Business Manager Bayer Group, Kailash Pandey.
