| Plantation drive under ‘Greening Jammu’ held at Sunjwan | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, July 11: A plantation drive was held under Greening Jammu at Shiv Temple Sunjwan. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu started the drive b y planting a sapling in the premises of Shiv Temple. 150 plants of different species were planted , mostly ornamental and medicinal plants were planted. Sunil Singh Divisional Forest Officer Urban Forestry Division Jammu said that the drive will cover the Urban area of Jammu , Greening Jammu drive was held in collaboration with trustee of Gayatri Parivar, Charak Rajput Sabha Sunjwan and Urban Forestry Division Jammu. Speaking on the accession Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunjwan said that such drives will increase the green cover of Jammu , the drives will be held by involving NGOs and other Institutions so that maximum area could be covered. Nitin Charak Block officer made all the necessary arrangements with the help of other staff members.
