Neutralise those who gunned down BJP leader, kin in Bandipora: Ram Madhav | | | Early Times Report
Bandipora, July 12: Those who killed BJP leader and kin in Bandipora should be neutralised, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav said on Sunday. Along with Union MoS (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna and J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina, Ram Madhav visited the home of Sheikh Waseem Bari in Bandipora. Inspector-General of Police (Kashmir zone) Vijay Kumar also accompanied them. Earlier this month, former BJP district president for Bandipora Sheikh Waseem Bari along with his brother Sheikh Umar and father Sheikh Bashir were gunned down by militants outside their home in Muslimabad area of Bandipora. Immediately after the attack, J&K Police suspended 10 PSOs designated to protect the Bari family. As per reports, the PSOs were sitting on the first floor of the office-residence when militants opened fire at Bari, his brother and father who were on the ground floor. Police have already suspended 10 of their security guards. During his visit to the Bari house in Bandipora on Sunday, Ram Madhav told reporters, “We expressed our sympathies with the family and assured them of all possible help.” “Those people who are responsible for this act, should be neutralized, it is our demand and one more demand is that BJP workers and leaders should be provided security,” Ram Madhav added.
