Labour deptt inspects markets in Poonch | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, July 12: Continuing its efforts to educate the shopkeepers in view of the fast spreading of COVID-19 pandemic, the Labour Department has started an extensive drive-cum-awareness campaign for the benefit of shopkeepers, hoteliers and vegetable vendors in Poonch town today. In this connection, a team of Labour Department led by Assistant Labour Commissioner Poonch, Abid Hussain Shah and Labour Inspector Nasar Malik visited main town Poonch and conveyed the advisories issued by the district administration and health department to control COVID-19. The team visited each shop and made comprehensive inspections regarding implementation of various labour laws extended under Shop and Establishment Act. On the occasion, Shopkeepers and traders were advised to follow various labour laws like compulsory observance of holiday and other labour laws which are applicable under the act. They were sensitized to strictly follow the health advisory due to fast spreading of coronavirus. Shopkeepers were educated about the significance of maintaining social distancing and wearing of face masks which help in combating the deadly virus. |
