India must ensure strengthening of Quad cooperation: Randhir Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 12: Former minister and National President Aromatic Plants Growers Association of India (APGAI) Thakur Randhir Singh welcomed the announcement made by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, who agreed to expand the Quadrilateral (Quad) cooperation which include Japan-Australia-USA and India in the areas of defence and security amid rising threat from China. Singh said that the Chinese Army grabbing lot of lands and constructed infrastructure which has been connected with Ladakh, Gilgit and Baltistan. Singh said Beijing has attempted to use the crisis to strengthen its regional and global political and military interest. India needs to stand with its Quad partners because it is in the interest of all Quad countries that China’s efforts to absolve itself of responsibility for this disaster, shift blame to others, and use this crisis to gain an advantage is countered. It is in India’s national interest to ensure that China does not shift blame for Covid-19 crisis and that the Quad cooperation is enhanced, he added. |
