People urge RRC for sanitization of Jagti colony | | | EarlyTimes Report
JAMMU ,July 19:People of Jagti colony have urged the Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner for migrants to take steps to sanitize the entire colony in view of detection of three positive corona virus cases in last two days here. While talking on mobile phone to EarlyTimes senior citizens of the colony have expressed their grave resentment over casual approach of Relief Organization which has failed to make fully functional the upgraded sub divisional hospital in the colony where no medical facilities were available for the people. They said being the custodian of Kashmiri Pandit migrants it was responsibility of Relief Organization to take every care of their requirements especially on the front of medical facilities during the cases of deadly COVID-19 pandemic which were surging with each passing day in Jammu and other parts of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. They also expressed concern over the lapse of security check on the entry points of the camp. They said that anybody from anywhere enters the main entrance points without any security check while as mobile police van seems to patrol the national highway only. They referred to duo mother-daughter who were tested positive for COVID- 19 pandemic yet were nowhere checked despite travel history and mingled with the inmates of camp easily .Though it could have been proved disastrous if not contained timely, they added. |
