| 2 cr rupees withdrawn fraudulently from J&K Bank Bhathadurian | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: The customers of J&K Bank Bhathadurian of Balakote of Mendhar sub division today staged a protest outside the branch office, as Rs 2 cr fraudulently withdrawn from the branch. Protest erupted, when angry customers of the bank gathered outside the branch, as the news of their earned money being looted spread in the area. The transaction was made six months ago by an official of the bank under the nose of the Branch Manager.
The protesters claimed that an amount of Rs two crore was withdrawn fraudulently by the Bank staff. They had assured to return our money but till date no such promises fulfilled by them (Bank). We demand immediate action should be taken by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, an investigation through the Crime branch needs to be done. Later Naib Tehsildar Bhatadhurian Abdul Qayoom reached on spot and pacified the poster. The Niab Tehsildar assured the protestors that appropriate actions would be taken into the matter.
