Income bar for Pahari Certificate! Mandatory or Not, Authorities confused | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Poonch, July 31: Pahari certificates for Pahari speaking people are being issued these days in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Poonch administration is looking confused in the issue of income bar for Pahari Certificates. According to the sources, Tehsildar Haveli had issued a press release on Facebook page “Tehsildar Haveli Poonch” in which he stated that, there is no need of income certificate for the issuance of Pahari Certificates. The Tehsildar and other tehsildars later on decided and fixed an income bar for issuance of the certificate. Sources informed, “As per official sources any person who can get the benefit of Pahari speaking must have maximum annual income below eight lakhs”. Locals are shocked and expressed their anguish over the issue. They have raised many questions over administrative negligence and said, “Many Pahari speaking people who have annual income more than eight lakhs have got Pahari Certificates, are they legal or illegal? The locals have appealed Lieutenant Governor for cancellation of such certificates which have been issued for landlords or issue certificates to whole Pahari Speaking Community.
